To many ID`s

Not sure what I`m doing wrong. When it tells me I`m over 200 id`s I go back till I`m under 200 and create a new system. When I get the hole state in there I then try and download to my scanner which is a 396T. It tells me I have over 200 ID`s and creates an errow. Can some one help tell me what I`m doing wrong.

It sounds like you're trying to create a system with more than 200 IDs, which, per your scanner's manual, is more than it can handle.

Make the system with 200 ID's
Save it
Make the same system again with a slightly different name, starting at ID 201 and up to the end (but no more than 200)
Now set both systems for the same quick key, and run both in ID SCAN mode. Now you will have all your talkgroups.
Of course, with a system with that many users, you are going to miss a lot, unless you run each of the two systems on it's own 396. In which case you will likely miss only 1/2 as much
