Hey all. Quick question. When I am programming frequencies in the Pro 96 (manually by the way...I know, crazy), if a channel is not a trunked channel, does it matter if I program it as a trunked channel? What I mean is beside the TMR frequencies, there are many other frequencies that can be programmed. When I programmed the TMR channels, I programmed them in the Pro 96 as trunked. I did the same with the non-TMR channels too. Does that matter? Will the scanner still pick up those channels? Thanks!

Hi

I'm not 100% sure I get what you mean, but I'll try and answer

You can have conventional (non-trunking) frequencies stored in a bank whose mode is set to MOT, however the individual frequencies must be set to FM (or AM) and not set to MOT (or EDACS)

If the conventional frequencies are set to MOT, then the scanner is expecting to detect a Motorola control channel, and when it doesn't find one it skips it and keeps going.

Does that help?

Thanks hfxChris. The non-trunk channels are FM on my scanner.

Second question. Might anyone have and be willing to share a Win96 file for the PRO 96 for Halifax area and other surrounding areas.
