Thank you sir! I'm wondering how this change in Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest's radio system affects frequency use of the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area. Someone here in Payson showed me a list that showed 173.7750 as "north net" and 170.525 as "south net." I'm assuming Spring Mountain is on the south net, as it is the most southerly of the lands of HTF. Before I recently moved I used to visit a good friend in Las Vegas. I also wonder what freq. the Humboldt part of HTF is using now. I like going to Great Basin NP now and again.

What's the status of the secondary frequencies?

Radio techs were testing on 173.7750 Mhz today.
Are you asking about tac channels?
If so i cant answer that yet being there most likely simplex and fire season hasnt started yet so i can search for them.
I know that 170.0500 Mhz was used as a simplex tac and most likely be changed.

Yes on the TAC and other secondary channels. I'll wait for your future updates. HTF seems to have been making a lot of changes in the last couple of years.

I’m fairly certain that the Spring Mountains NRA is on 172.275.

I was wondering the same thing about the Humboldt portion of the Humboldt-Toiyabe. Does anyone know if 171.475 or 172.225 are still being used for the Humboldt portion in the Elko or Ely areas, or if a switch to a different set of frequencies has been made? Also, can anyone confirm which HTF frequencies are now used in the Austin or Tonopah areas?
