Good morning everyone:

Unication Question: I noticed at times the RFSS/Site says 1/1 and I am not receiving anything on Wake County Fire PS Ops 1-12 and have to re-start the pager so it goes back to RFSS/Site 1/2. I have all of Wake and Cary control channels in the same location - is this too many control channels, or do they need to be separated?

The Cary control channels carry the carry, apex, and Mooresville (CAM) traffic while the wake control channels carry the rest of the traffic. They should be programmed as two separate systems on your end

Set one up for Site 1/2 for Wake with the 4 channels (CC and Alt), set another for Cary with site 1/1 and those 4 channels (CC and Alt)

I forget who carries what as far as OPS and PS TAC channels! I know Cary gave some of them back to RWECC.

On my Unication I believe it worked out great. I had to send it back to Unication due to the "bleed over" issue, so I don't have one right now. They are replacing it for me. I'm planning on buying a 996P2 so I can have the cheapest scanner possible monitoring HSPD and their OPS channel, and then use my 536 to scan the rest of Wake County.

How is it progressing? I split it into two different systems. I can get both, even though the BCD325p2 doesn't technically have(wish it did) simulcast capability.

I have no problems with my 325. Matter of fact it gets better reception than my SDS 200.

Kinda makes me glad, I didn't save up the $ to buy the SDS100. The 325(via Proscan) also allows me to have multiple law enforcement agencies with plenty of room to spare. I know simulcast allows for the ability to get the signal off multiple towers. But, Uniden told me, that. The loss of frequency space, is the trade-off of simulcast capability.
