I did it--finally went digital! Got the Pro-2096 and Win96 software. RR was a great resource. Rat Shack programmed it for me (that was a big help to get started), but I think I've finally got it set up my way.

I'm less than a mile from one of the towers, so the signals are great. Having a blast.

It's nice to be able to listen to Delaware Public Safety again.

Yeah for the past ohhh bout three yeasr I'd hear of persuits and shootings involving the San Mateo County Sheriffs in CA..
NOW
I can Actuallly listen as oppose to read a miscontrued, diluted, and/or biased  story..LOL
AND you'll find that some "tac, special err whatever channels are P25
wheras the regular ar Analog..
Anyways My point is Often more that not Officer will say VERY Detailed things that they won't on a regualar analog channel..
Assuming that not may have a P25 capable reciver..
Or assuming that digital means encrypted.
When ACTUALLY all it is
IS easier to encrypt...
And of course the 1 and 0's thing LOL
anywyas
Happy hunting always
