Torch Run

RCMP are using Talkgroup #47 right now for the torch run ! They have entered the city of Regina now and RPS is taking over until the torch exits the city limits.

Ya I monitored the run through Yorkton. Was a few glitchs but they ( The RCMP ) did very well. One of the Olympic RCMP Suburbans was totaled here and there was NO injuries.

Unfortunately what we are missing here is the jogging detail that shrouds the runner & carries the replacement torch & flame in a protective container, at least you get to hear new talkgroups (depending on where you are) and the regular duty detail that is supporting the members who have criss crossed the country since Victoria.

Jogging detail is on the 400 MHz P25 frequencies listed in the Eastern Canada forum.

Was part of the Torch convoy today and what a fantastic experience! Torch is now on it's way to Moose Jaw, slowly heading back towards Vancouver.
