Tornado Threat Today

[mtcatoctin]

Due to the exceptionally high risk of strong tornadoes in NE and elsewhere, has any feed provider the ability to monitor one of the freqs. that rebroadcasts NAWAS? A feed had offered that before (I think in Sarpy County) but that feed is offline.

I don't believe it is legal to rebroadcast NAWAS.

I highly doubt there would even be a way for a third party to have access to NAWAS.

NWS Des Moines utilizes their own system called Metro Incident Command Radio Network (MICRN) that connects them with various state, county, and local agencies throughout their 51-county warning area. It's good listening with things start popping. I'm sure it will be active tonight beginning around 4 p.m. CDT. NWS Des Moines area MICRN Severe Weather Net Live Scanner Audio Feed

I am a feed provider for the MERS channel for the Kansas City, Missouri/Kansas area.
It's similar in usage to the MICRN network for Des Moines, Iowa that newsphotog mentioned.
