I am going to guess here...for your area = 156.650, 156.800 & Coast Guard Broadcast every 6 hours ( ?? 11:00 & 5:00 ) on 157.100 ( Channel 22 Alpha )

Tow Boat US is Channel 14 here in the Old Saybrook, CT area. I learned this last weekend when they had to tow me in...

around pittsbugh pa tugs are required to have ch.16 and 13 on at all times !!! 16 is emergency and 13 is bridge to bridge

I have confirmed in Cape May they primarily use channel 9 (156.450). They monitor 16 and then always announce what channel switch to which usually is channel 9. Channel 18 isn't used as often any more

These are the correct frequencies for Sandy Hook, NJ. Many other areas (including other waterways in NJ) have different allocations and meaningless for your needs.
