Fremont-Hayward Tows

Am interested in freqs for CSAA and Shop freqs for tows in the Fremont-Hayward area. Most of the frequencies I have found relate to towing in San Jose and S.F. area. I can't seem to find my local area. Thanks in advance.

And why is this in the "San Francisco Bay Area" of the forum!

The first post is in riverside county

It covers more area then "San Francisco Bay Area".

Whoever moved it. Maybe it should be moved back in the California wide forum area!...

Also if you're interested in monitoring as far north as Oakland, I could sure use the help in identifying the company names belonging to these two shop channels on this LTR system on Grizzly Peak. (Disregard if your scanner doesn't do LTR trunking.)

Signature Wireless Group (Grizzly Peak) Trunking System, Oakland, California - Scanner Frequencies

Talkgroups:

0-01-006 Tow Trucks in Oakland (Unknown truck IDs)
0-01-061 Tow Trucks in Oakland (7800 units)
0-08-026 Tow Trucks in Oakland (6400 units)

Around here the four digit number is painted vertically behind the doors.

Regarding shop channels in the Hayward-Fremont area, I would try the following LTR systems:

Signature Wireless Group (Wiedemann Hill) Trunking System, Castro Valley, California - Scanner Frequencies
FleetTalk Partners- was Champion Communications (Monument Peak) Trunking System, None, California - Scanner Frequencies
Crystal Communications (Monument/Mission Peak) Trunking System, Near Milpitas, California - Scanner Frequencies
Time Slot Trunking, Inc. (Monument) Trunking System, Monument, California - Scanner Frequencies

Uh oh, sounds like I need to change "Monument, CA" to Fremont or Milpitas. :)

Most of the Monument/Mission Peak stuff is too far south for me to hear. I get some LCNs readable but not others.

Regards,

Inigo

Monument is in Milpitas (Santa Clara Co), but very strong here in Fremont. I'll check those business systems. Thanks to all!

Crystal Comm is what I needed. I found ProStar (Milpitas-Fremont) and I believe All-Ways Towing. Oakland is out of range from home, but I'll check from work in Oakland when I can (re Grizzly Peak LTR).Thanks for the info about the truck i.d. on the doors- I'll have to do some checking around.

Yes It's RoadOneSanDiego(A-Z Metro Towing/Allied Gardens Towing/RD1).
They have 4 talkgroups on the Fisher Passport System.
http://www.roadonesandiego.com
The tow yard locations you hear on the radio. (The locations page hasn't been updated with newer info yet) been over 1 year since it been updated...

The other towing company is C&D towing. They use the Fisher Passport system.
http://www.cdtowing.com/

The Fisher Wireless system is a PASSPORT system.

No scanners are currently available that will track LTR Passport systems.

For RoadOne.

3-2-58997 - RoadOne Towing (South). Sweetwater, Downtown, Barona Casino. 297William, 295William, 265Frank, 255William, Station18. Confirmed user from CHP CAD entry.

3-4-58997 - RoadOne Towing (North). Rainbow, Carlsbad, Escondido, Oceanside. 41Frank, 45Baker, 77William, 87Baker, 105Sam, 251Baker, 299Mike, 237Frank, Station1, Station2, Station4, Station17.

Other possible RoadOne talkgroups
3-1-58997
3-3-58997

I just don't know enough about Passport to know how these talkgroups translate down in San Diego. My guess is the "3-2-xxxxx" indicates a site (#2) in southern San Diego and "3-4-xxxxx" a site (#4) in north county. I picked these up simulcast on site #6 Santiago Peak.

The way to monitor is with a filtered data slicer and LTRTrunk software, but you can also program in the repeater and scan manually on a regular scanner. RoadOne yacks like crazy though.

My daughters friend, owns a tow-truck business. They use the NEXTEL GPS Tracking service to keep tabs on thier fleet. They quit using radio's a few years ago due to loosing a number of customers to another Tow-Truck service listening in on their service calls... It's a Dog, EAT Dog WORLD...

They cant do that in CA.

passport system help

I have viewed the reply from MtnBiker2005 as well as the reply from brandon. Message was sent to brandon with a reply to me that continues to leave me curious. So, for Skip Sanders; MtnBiker2005; or any other knowledgable radio reference member - I post the following question: does anyone have the info on the passport system used by Road One and C&D Towing. I am trying to input info into a device that requires info on a passport system. I am looking for the correct system ID;affiliated system ID; group ID start; initial DFA sub band (if any) and of course the home channel as well as the back up home channel. I believe the home channel is one of the 10 frequencies that has a data burst about every 30 seconds to possibly every minute.

Unless someone has intricate knowledge of Fisher's Passport system, this information is not readily available by decoding info over conventionally. System parameters change as needed and other sites could be turned up. All the correct info needs to be loaded in your radio which is done by Fisher or an authorized radio dealer/shop.
