Howdy, everyone!

You asked for it, and now it's reality!

Tower 176, Cedar Bluffs, is officially online.... here's the Pro96Com Tower file for the site! Lots of neighbors on this one, though you can't see the names due to my Pro96Com always "forgetting"!

Have a GREAT evening!

i went to tune to it manually, just to hear how clear it is, and its complete silence. full signal, complete silence. my scanner identifies it as p25, but doesnt give the usual site info... ill try programming the system in, then use a wildcard to see if i hear anything tonight.

edit: thats 173.9125. i dont really know how to read any of what you posted, but thats the only frequency i get something on

Program the 173.9125 and 172.625 in a P25 system. Put it in search mode. I get it full scale in Valley showing the site and system info.
Now only need Sterling and Nebraska City sites to be turned on.
George Falls City is back on it was only showing the Beatrice site as a nieghbor.

Hey, AVSFan!

Yep - after grabbing the data on Cedar Bluffs, I drove toward home and a bit farther south where I could pick-up Falls City reliably! Do you hear it in your area? It wouldn't surprise me - last Fall, when we had some ducting happening, I could sit on the high ground along HW77 north of Fremont and copy Falls City perfectly! That's the nice thing about VHF!

I'll listen intently for more bits to come out of S.E. Nebraska and will report if I hear something!

No I took a trip down to Sterling, Nebraska City and Falls City area to see if they were on since today was the last day of the month. Only got Falls City then pro96com was not working.

got them programmed in. signal is full strength. been listening for at least an hour now and havent heard a peep.

i have a question about pro96comm. ive never uesd it. can i basically just hook my psr500 up to the computer, run that program, then catch and log all the talkgroups that use that system/tower?

Basicly you might have to turn something on. With the uniden xt's you have to turn a setting on, can't remeber what it is called.
Pro96com will log what radios are affiliated to the site and what talkgroup they are on, what talkgroups are in use, what frequency is in use and patches.
You can only log radio affiliation if the radio affiliates while you are running pro96com.

Cedar Bluffs is very hit or miss across Norfolk. Not enough signal strength to get data into my laptop. Considering the distance from Cedar Bluffs to Norfolk, not bad. This is on my Pro 106 with RadioShack mag mount on my car. Get towards Enola/Madison areas near full quieting except in the valleys of course, decode rate is decent.

I also occasionally get OPPD Cedar Bluffs up here from time to time as well.

ive been listening to this site since this announcment and havent heard a peep. should that be expected with it being this new?
ive been running pro96comm with this tower and man, thats alot of info. what does it mean when the control channel flashes from black to green? also, in the "channel grant trace" tab, i see radio id 68251 did something 3 times. what does that mean?
