Mid week, probably July 14 - 15 the WSP was broadcasting on 151.28 on tower 36 every 30 minutes. The transmission was. . . . WIsconsin State Patrol. . . . Squirrel hill . . . . K?D . . . MARC . . . . 461. This was conventional MARK 1. I had another scanner on WISCOM and did not hear the same message (scanner was locked on squirrel hill). Probably just tecks working. Each word in the transmission was very deliberate and separated by a 1 or 2 second pause. I do not think it was recorded, just a guess.

It sounds like you heard the voice identifier for a MARC 1 repeater. You probably heard something similar to "State Patrol Squirrel Hill MARC 1 Repeater KSG461."

Because of the number of MARC 1 repeaters in the State they are supposed to have voice identifiers so it is known what equipment is active. They are supposed to be off unless in use. In the event one is needed and another is active in the area it is easy to contact the PSAP that controls the unneeded repeater to shut it off.
