I enjoyed looking at those pictures, much better than looking at the destruction! I couldn't believe when I saw the post about the tornados at your place. I thought man those nice towers he has, I was almost afraid to look.

Yeah it wiped em out, but we are back on the air! A little tweaking and adjustments needed on the yagi's yet but getting closer to where i was.

Roof is getting replaced this week, can get rid of the tarp finally.

House needs new siding, fence needs replacing, but a month should go a long way!

Well it just worked out that way. I am not a roofing contractor, i am not a siding contractor, i can do both but i am not a licensed contractor as required, so i did what i can do, install the towers!!

The mortgage company wanted licensed contractors to repair all structural damages, but they had no idea who to hire to work on the towers or even suggest someone. So i found a commercial company and gave them a quote for commercial installation costs, they wanted thousands more then allowed so they said "oh well yeah you can do it then"... LOL

We do have one more session coming up to fix a few minor details. The two Par Loops need rebuilds, the fiberglass angles on them are cracked, two new ones ordered from Par. Then we will pull them down, rebuild, retune, and reinstall permanently. The 6m yagi needs a tuning touchup and its not quite in line with the rest of the stack, off about 5 degrees so we are going to tweak that too. But otherwise everything else is working and just fine. I just got my Alpha Delta DXLB+ dipole back up the other day also, it survived as well, works perfectly.

Wow! Your tower really did not stand a chance in the storm.

Glad no-one was injured and you were able to get the damage sorted out quickly.

We really copped a battering during our summer months (Jan/Feb/Mar) with massive flooding locally and CAT 5 cyclones up north. Mother nature is doing her rounds it seems, with you guys in the Northern Hemisphere feeling the wrath now.

Oh yes...insurance companies are no fun, especially when trying to sort out claims that they have no clue about.

Yeah i thought my towers failed badly, but my damage was nothing, other towers in town were flattened, mine were repairable!

The insurance company handled it quite well overall, i can't complain about it too much.
