There are many towers that are owned by private companies, which lease space to any takers. It's not uncommon to see several cell setups along with many 2-way antennas on a single tower. You can spot cell phone antennas as they are ususally in a cluster, i.e., 4 or more antennas separated by 90 (or so) degrees. The antenna looks like a flat panel whose length is about 4 -5 times its width.

Most 2-way systems use verticals or folded dipoles on out-riggers.

If you search the website antennasearch.com, you can enter an address and search antennas or towers. By clicking on a location you can find out who owns the tower, or antenna.
