Town of Palm Beach PD/FD

What happened to the Palm Beach PD?

I monitored the WPB trunked system last night (from across the bridge at City Place) and didn't hear one sound for HOURS.

The control channel was active and entered correctly, I was able to monitor the WPB PD and FD

Any ideas?

Confirmed:

No Palm Beach traffic on the WPB system since 10pm.

Palm Beach PD is now Open Sky and you will not be able to monitor them from this point forward unless they move back to the WPB TRS.

My sources tell me that they are still on 1B00 and are fighting to stay that way and not go OS.

Good LORD! Hasn't anyone learned anything with the Open Sky BS?

After all, so much of the communication of the Palm Beach PD was of such SENSITIVE MATERIAL that it had to be passed on to another "multi thousands of dollar" system.

Spare me.

I wish LE in Florida would spend more money on the players and less on the radio systems.
