Where'd you get the little mount for the TM-V7A? I've got the remote mount kit for that same radio and the way it's installed in my car at the moment is something that I'd like to change.

I have ordered 3 mounts from them, they all mount up so that it won't leave any mounting holes visible in your car. Two of the three I ordered used factory screws to mount. The link to buy is canyonriver.com, to see what mount will fit your vehicle and to see specs, how to mount and a pic go to panavise.com, WARNING LONG LOAD TIME FOR 56K.

Again,
To buy - click here for canyonriver.com

To see if they have a mount for your vehicle - click here for panavise.com

Long reach?

The Panavise mounts look nice but it seems like it puts the unit a relatively long way from the driver. Do you have trouble reaching or seeing it?

Like cgriggs, I purchased the mount for the Kenwood from canyonriver.com. It is a Panavise mount and their prices were 7-10 dollars less than anyone else. Shipping was quick and I recommend them if you are looking for a vehicle specific mount. If you are looking for a VSM and Panavise doesn't make one for your vehicle, the other manufacturer of VSM's is ProFit

http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/

I have no trouble reaching it, it's a little less than arms length without shifting my position in the drivers seat. It is angled up slightly more than I would like, but it's not difficult at all to see the display. The only problem I have is when wearing my sunglasses, which are polarized 90 degrees from the polarization of the lens on the Kenwood. I have to tip my head slightly to see the display. I have heard of others having this problem with a variety of displays including factory and aftermarket stereos and satellite receivers. In my previous vehicle, it was mounted low on the console and I could see the display by looking underneath my sunglasses, so it wasn't an issue.

Thanks to all for the compliments on the install. The indash install was done with a Metra 95-8202 double din kit. No mods needed, everything fit perfect.

Hello,

Eric61, great install! :) You have given me some good ideals for an installation in a 2006 Toyota 4Runner. I love the Panavise mount and will order one (its available) for GPS unit or HH's.
