TPD gearing up for digital upgrade

A buddy of mine from Phoenix was in Tucson this week to help set up towers for the TPD radio update.

From what I can gather they will be using the Apco-25 system.

Installation on "A-Mountain" was delayed because archeologists discovered ancient animal bones near the repeater towers.

Anyone else have anymore info. on the new TPD radio system ?

Last word I heard was that TPD was waiting to integrate into the Pima County wide system, which is years down the road.

What else can you advise about this tower installation?? I know you asked us, but you might know something we don't :0
