My favorite Rail freqs for Amtrak are 160.9200 Amtrak NEC road/dispatch
and Amtrak Police NEC 161.295 output with various PL tones depending upon
repeater location,Perryville/Wilmington/Philadelphia.
161.445 is Amtrak Bear and Wilmington shops with 2 different PL tones for each facility.
NS 160.800 is popular on NS line Delmarva Secondary track Bear/New Castle area.

To get a little more specific, here are some local details for many of the above posted frequencies:

Since the railroads share the same 97 frequencies (more with narrowbanding) nationwide, the channel designations change as you move around the railroad. Everything listed aboove is local to the Philly metro area (including northern DE).

So that's the source of 173.375 here in Wilm.

I've seen this freq listed as being an "on-board" frequency for Amtrak police units on trains. I had it in my scanner a while back while riding from Philly to Alexandria on Amtrak and picked up the comms when stopped in Wilmington Station. I can only assume that this is a one way crossband allowing APD officers working the station area to monitor Wilmington PD comms.
