I think i am overpowering my scanner front end .

Scanners - pro - 197
gre- 400
both hooked into multicoupler,
antenna -tram uhf -406-512 mhz base antenna fiberglass [6.5db gain]
hooked into a stridesberg mca-202m multicoupler
heliax -1/2 hardline - 150' run, mounted on 50' tower.
*** only listening to 400 mhz band *******

my pro 197 receives great ,very strong ! , but my gre 400 model losses reception , weak signal @ times , the 197 receiving same freq clear , 400 no / weak reception on same freq.
Model 400 was sent back to gre , tech's checked out , up to spec's.

Does anyone out there know if this setup could be overpowering my gre psr400 model, to much db gain for front end of 400?

I am thinking a about replacing this current antenna with a antenna specialist [unity gain] mon 52 or 53 , which i have several in stock , and best antenna that was ever made.

Going to be waiting for feedback before changing antennas, also going to call , stridesberg tech support.
Thanks for reading!
