Transmit Frequeny/Recieve Frequency

When looking at Frequency Listings for Law Enforcement Channels..How can you tell the difference in other words ...which is the Recieve and Is the Input Frequency the Transmit?...What are the Send code and the Receive Code on a listing? Thanks in advance

For what County, and all you really need is the receive frequency and PL tones. You will receive everything just fine.

I see five frequencies.

There are four repeaters:

453.67500
453.97500
453.40000
460.20000

There is one simplex frequency:
458.33750

Using the PL will knock down some of the noise and interference. Is your scanner capable of using PL tones?

I concur, you are closer and hear them more than I do. But I was in Louisville or near it all day. I just heard Metro and F-2 being active.

I need to go sit by the Courthouse(s) as I have some federal frequencies I'd like to narrow down.

I do not know..what is a simplex frequency?are the repeaters Transmit and receive frequencies?In other words are the repeater frequencies both transmit and recieve?

UHF and 162.2 is the Tone Squelch aka Private Line by Motorola, Channel Guard is what GE Ma/Com calls it.

What type of scanner do you have and are you trying to program?

Because it's sounding like you want to program a radio. I would suggest spending time in the manual and on the Wiki here learning some of the basic details, it will make things a little clearer.
