I will be traveling to Belton Missouri though Iowa. Mapquest tells me I will be taking 135 down through 435 to Belton. I will be attempting to monitor Sherrif ,Police and Fire while traveling. I use a 396t and was wondering if any can share what counties I will be passing through on the trip. Any help or interesting shared freqs would be greatly appreciated

I'm not for sure exactly all counties are in the area of where you'll be traveling. Belton is in Cass County. Jackson County is north of Cass and it has many interesting dept.'s (especially Independence 700mhz p25) Clay county is north of Jackson and has some good listening. Also, listen to Hwy Patrol Troop A that cover all those counties plus some more I didn't mention. If you want a detailed list of exactly what to listen to, let me know. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. I monitor LEO's and Fd's. So the State Patrol Sherrif Department and county fire freqs would be great.
