Travel to Seattle

I am traveling to Seattle/Kirkland. Will be staying in the area of
13900 International Blvd
International Blvd & S. 139th.
Will be monitoring with a BC395 T. Would anyone be kind enough to tell me what towers I should be programming a control channel to monitor the Seattle area. Anything else that you consider monitoring would also be welcome.

You'll be inside King County; this is the King County public safety trunked system. I don't remember exactly where all the towers are nor am I terribly familiar with the areas north of Seattle but don't worry about Snoqualmie, Grass Mountain, Kangley, or Sobeski. The Valcom simulcast is probably too far south but does have a really strong signal.

The Port of Seattle TRS is also to listen to and you shouldn't have any problems picking it up.

There are some other TRSs listed here; some are digital. The DOT system can't be monitored by scanners, so don't waste your time.


For mroe talkgroups and tons of conventional frequencies, check out the Intercept NW DB.

Seattle,EPSCA and Vally are all serviced in that area you will be able to lock in the simulcast for each system 100% lock on Vally trunk systems if you want to hear everything, seattle if you want to listen to the key arena and safco/qwest activity and epsca for all of kirkland TG the links that taco sent have all the freq's

WSDOT 800mhz can be monitored with a scanner. You just program in the site frequencies of interest as if they were conventional frequencies.

Thanks to all for the information. I ended up in Kirkland. I am recieving great reception of King county. I am locked into sid oo3. Again thanks for all your help. Anyone every get to the UP of Michigan and need info give me a shout!
