I'm going to be travelling to DC for a meeting next week... (7 days from sunday)...

Is it worthwhile taking my BC246T? If so, does anyone have an ARC or BCT file for it that they'd be willing to send to me? I'll be staying near 1800 L Street, NW... if that makes any difference....

thanks!

I don't have a file for you, but there is more than enough to listen to in this town with an analog radio.

I agree with ResQguy that there will be plenty to listen to, but unfortunately for you, DC police and fire are digital. You can hear the DCFD simulcast dispatch on 154.19, CTCSS 77.0, but that will be it. Other than that, there's always Captol PD, Park PD, and MANY miscellaneous DC frequencies.

On analog, you should also be able to hear US Park Police, Prince Georges County Fire, Montgomery County Fire dispatches and responses (working incidents are on digital talkgroups, but streamed over the Internet), Metro (subway) operations, Virgina State PD.
