TraversCity Area?

We are coming in for vacation from Illinois, and would love to bring our scanner with us. We are coming over on the ssBadger from Wisconsin into Luddington, and staying in Mesick. We plan on trips to the lake and was wondering how I can find freqs to listen to boat and marine traffic.

Any help in this direction would be great!

I would look at the RR database for freqs. Mesick is in Wexford County, Traverse City is in Grand Traverse County. Allot of the counties are going to the state digital system. I believe Traverse City is still on old freqs.

I would suggest just programming in the standard marine frequencies. You should be able to find a list of channel numbers/frequencies rather easily.
