Travis AFB is hosting an open house this year. The USAF Thunderbirds will be the headliners.

Just as in previous years, no scanners allowed inside show. Plenty of great monitoring from the parking lot.

Monitored a coule of days of air and TRS at Travis.

Thunderbirds did their site survey yesterday. They are scheduled to fly a practice show today at 2PM.

Anyone want audio and control channel log files for the TRS? There is a lot of encryption. But there is still some traffic in the clear. All digital. The radio link between Command Post and the TRS appears to be gone.

A few years ago the Beale AFB air show used 87.9 MHz WFM for the show announcer.
Might be used at Travis, good news for the fence crowd.
