I have been listening to Travis AFB for 3 days now and have not heard any law or fire traffic. I have monitored this system fine in the past. All the other "routine" talkgroups are tracking and working fine. Even in the "open" mode I have not heard any fire or law traffic. I checked for new control channels in the 406 to 420 range and the new 380 to 400 range but found no new control channels (thinking they might be in the process of moving to a new system). Also, I noticed some of their police cars have 2 UHF antennas now, where in the past they had only one.

Anybody have any ideas what is going on? Could some of you others within range take a listen. You should be able to hear this system in sac. Thanks

I monitored the system during the recent airshow. The system is active. The TGIDs you are monitoring are encrypted. I noticed from my last monitoring session a greater use of encryption.

You didn't mention which radio you are using. I am using a 396T, it mutes the audio on an encrypted TGID. I don't recall how the Pro-96 or other radios handle encrypted TGIDs.

Thanks for the reply. I just scanned in the conventional mode and saw that there is much more encrypted traffic then in the past. Too bad, I enjoyed listening to fire.
