Analog is still going strong.
Where I work, we still have analog channels for inter-operability as well. It is a lot cheaper and easier than buying several different types and brand name of gear. We have ships, land based offices and still need to be able to talk to local first responders. It is like a civilian version of the Coast Guard.
DMR MotoTrbo is the hardware, but there are still some Icom and Standard Horizon radios about as well.
Even the local state police are just now installing "digital capable" radios into their vehicles. They are still almost entirely analog. (North of Seattle.)
For the scanner monitors, this is a good thing.
