TRBOnet Enterprise (Dispatch) setup

Hi guys,

We just bought 20 mototrbo radios, it's a mix of XPR6550, XPR6350, DP3400 and DP3600.

On events we need to setup a command center and need an easy to use dispatch software.

We found TRBOnet enterprice on Home - TRBOnet for MOTOTRBO. Dispatch Console, Data Application, IP Site Connect, Connect Plus, Capacity Plus, Telephone Interconnect, NAI VOICE, MOTOTRBO software, motorola, GPS, telemetry, mototrbo system planner and it looks all right.


THE QUESTION!

Can we connect lets say 2 XPR6550 via USB to the "server computer" and use them instead of having to buy an repeater?

-- First off I think you have many issues the XPR's are North American (NA) models, and the DP's are European (EMEA). This means you will need to license multiple versions of the CPS Software to program them, and they may have different type acceptances on them that depending on where you are makes one or the other illegal to operate.

-- Second, your specific question does not make sense. Yes, you can connect radios (usually mobiles with fixed power supplies) as control stations (gateways) to most Console solutions. This really has nothing to do with rather you need Repeaters and other infrastructure to get the talk out and talk in that you need for your deployment.

On Trbonet, one cannot split radios, the program basically interfaces a PC (Server) ti the radios, what I would suggest is a 12m Pole with folded Dipoles connected to your control stations all using simplex. It will be the easiest with you moving event to event.

I am sure you could use 2 Mobile radios and Trbonet in crosspatch mode as a repeater, but I am not sure if it will work well or if you will get data through.
