Denver U/D: Trench trailer now enroute from the shops with no emer equitpment working so police escort being set up. Victim remains stable and Rescue-1 using there shoring and airbags until trench unit arrives.

Firefighters: Trench Collapses On Man

DENVER -- Denver Fire Department said a man fell into a trench in the 2400 block of South Cook Street.

Denver fire sent a full rescue team along with heavy equipment to help move the dirt.

The man was successfully recovered from the trench and taken to an area hospital.

Witnesses said the man was conscious and talking while rescuers worked to remove him from the trench.
