Trent Hills fire going digital

Looks like Trent Hills council approved $20k in new capital to upgrade the municipalities fire radio frequencies to digital. Page 26 of 2017 budget.

was to be a county wide upgrade is now on hold as there may be a eastern ontario build out of a new system somewhat like the one out western canada

Thanks Randy. I figured there had to be a little more to the story.

I suppose whether it be a county wide upgrade in the future or something encompassing more of eastern Ontario each municipalities FD would likely still have to maintain at least one conventional frequency for dispatch purposes. I could be wrong but I'm under the assumption that the VFD voice pagers (motorola monitor, etc) only receive analog.

What, like getting all the VFD's on a trunked system?
