Have a friend trying to hear Trenton PD. I understand they were going to move away from the 800 mHz. VSLEP system onto a UHF system but cannot find any listing for them, either in the RR database or the FCC.

Any ideas? Are they still on VSLEP 800, the County system, their own UHF channels?

I thought I remembered reading that they were switching to a Kenwood NXDN type system. I don't if that ever happened.

That sure would be nice just for informational purposes even if they can not be monitored. What's the big secrete?

Since nobody is saying what they are using..............

I was looking at license KED796...quite a bit of UHF stuff in there that's not in the DB.

How about these frequencies...
460.6000
460.575
110w licensed on each...and it's UHF...not seeing it anywhere in the db relating to Trenton.

I am not from the area, I'll attempt to monitor/close call when I'm out there and do some analysis.
Not sure why this is such a secret.

Time to do some discovery...this find is just a random guess.

Also seeing WIJ719 at 506.9125 (40w) / 509.9125 (10w) w/ 20K0F3E

Was just poking around some, and came across a trunking system for Trenton, NJ under WPGP231:

ULS License - PubSafty/SpecEmer/PubSaftyNtlPlan,806-817/851-862MHz,Trunked License - WPGP231 - TRENTON, CITY OF

(some frequencies show "D" (deleted) possibly from the older analog VSLEP system ?). I didn't go though all the frequencies listed, but it looks like most have emissions designated as: 20K0F3E, 15K0F2D. I also did NOT get any to try and monitor this system (and am not even sure I'm close enough pick them up).

Be curious to know if this turns up anything at all.

It's well established, through media not to mention other posts here, that they're on a commercial UHF system. I haven't heard which system, if I still lived in the area and still had the time which I used to then I might be interested enough to chase it down.

For others, you can start with MPS Communications (listed as the point of contact on the referenced old 800 license) and also research the contract which the city undoubtedly has for this service -- the contract must be public record, no?

Or hang out where PD units frequently transmit and close call/ signal stalk it.

I had a remote scanner before to monitor activity only but I do not have it as of January. Best I can tell at that time it was NXDN unencrypted with 2 or 3 sites. Hopefully with the freqs you can all figure it out now.

Should be NXDN, no encryption on dispatch/patrol. There is a password protected, privately hosted live feed still by another individual outside the city.
