Looking under that stations list for Madison County, I see Tri-County JFD (490) in the list. However, I never hear them dispatched off 159.33. The database also says they have a frequency of 33.86 licenced to them. So, are they dispatched off 33.86?

Thanks! :)

Tri County Fire is the only department in Madison County not dispatched by the Sheriff's Office on 159.330. Tri County is dispatched by Mt Sterling Police on 33.86. MCSO can drop TCJFD's tone on 159.330 however, there are no pagers set up to alert on VHF. Until 12/31/05, Sterling Joint EMS was dispatched by Mt Sterling Police on 155.175 then came to the Sheriff's Office on 01/01/06. If the SO receives an EMS & Fire call first, then we drop both fire & EMS tones and call MSPD to dispatch TCJFD. This gives the firefighters listening to Fire Control a headsup. Pickaway County Sheriff's Office can also dispatch TCJFD on 33.86 however, the tone doesn't always set off all the pagers in Mt Sterling so MSPD then has to re-dispatch the run.

Correct. Most if not all TCJFD equipment have the following radios: Lo-VHF, VHF, Pickaway & Fayette EDACS 800MHz & Grove City Motorola 800MHz

Thank you for the info. Do you dispatch for Madison County fire, or sheriff?
