This was copied directly from N1GAW's post for the Triangle area and tweaked ever so slightly. Thanks for the permission to use your words . . .

A Triad area flyover is expected on Tuesday May 26th, starting around 7PM by The Bandit Flight Team using a combination of Van’s sports aircraft and Russian YAK trainers.

According to their website, The Bandit Flight Team is a group of highly-trained, experienced pilots that combine their love of flying with an appreciation for vintage military aircraft. The Bandits are based in the Raleigh, NC area and fly over 40 events a year including all NC State football games, NASCAR events, Carolina Panthers and numerous veteran and community events. They also flew a similar "mission" in the Triangle area just over a week ago.

I'll post a link to the news article, but if you just want their schedule:
  • 7:03 p.m. Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro
  • 7:11 p.m. Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center
  • 7:17 p.m. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem
  • 7:18 p.m. Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem
  • 7:21 p.m. Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center
  • 7:22 p.m. Wake Forest Baptist Davie Medical Center
Bandit Flight Team to thank Triad health care workers with aerial salute over local hospitals

To keep this on the topic of monitoring and radios, you may catch the leader on 126.6 MHz as they enter Greensboro's airspace. Also, there's a good possibility that WXII Channel 12 will broadcast traffic from the leader during their televised broadcast.

Just a quick reminder that the Bandit Flight Team will be flying over hospitals in the Piedmont Triad area this evening starting around 7:00P. The route is in a previous post. According to the Terminal Area Forecast for KGSO (Greensboro), the cloud cover will be broken at 4,000 feet and overcast at 15,000 feet. It may not be a beautiful blue sky in the background, but at least it won't be raining . . . hopefully. If you can't make it out to see the fly-over in person, WXII-Channel 12 will probably air it as they are a sponsor. Finally, hats off to our medical professionals and first responders who work hard every day.
