No, I did not RTFM, so maybe this is in there, but I didn't see it:
With the extreme upgrade, hold on a weak trunked system. Hit the advanced tab. Go to site information. Click on the site you are trying to listen to. Click on each frequency. The squelch will open, and you can hear the data sound on the control channel - and the SYSID will appear up above. Now you can use the sound to move the radio/tune the antenna to get the best static free signal. I know you can use the grid in extreme update, but that shows signal strength, static and all. This just works better, if you need to move the scanner and position the antenna best reception. Just like on the old PRO-96 where you could listen to get a clear signal.
