WASHINGTON COUNTY – The Colorado State Patrol says three people were killed in a head-on crash on Highway 34 Sunday.
The accident happened about 5 p.m. about 2 miles east of Akron.
Troopers say a Chevy Silverado pickup was traveling westbound on Highway 34 when the driver drifted into the eastbound lane and hit a Dodge Stratus head-on. The driver of the pick-up and the driver and passenger of the Stratus died at the scene.
