Troop I has been very active on LATIE and I also heard Troop A on LATIE this past weekend. Have they made the switch from 800 to 700. I will say I did hear Troop I on 800 a little this morning but mostly on LATIE

Troop A&I

I do know that Troop A had switched over to the LATIE, I haven't had the opportunity to switch to Troop I to monitor them. But Troop A is defintely working now.

I have been hearing Troop I exclusively on 700 for the last several days except for the LACE units that were on 800 Dispatch 1 this morning. I was in Lake Charles today and Troop D began using 700 this afternoon. I hope they finally stay there.
Man, I gotta tell you, it sure is nice when you're on the interstate and the State Police come booming in crystal clear all the way from Lafayette to Lake Charles and back.

Not sure if the Acadia tower is working yet. I have not been through there in a few months. If it is on I am sure that one really helps for that area. Abbeville was the only one you could depend on for that area and sometimes it came in week on I-10

Yeah the acadia tower has been up for a couple of months now. See earlier posts about it in the latie thread. It does nicely fill in a gap that existed in coverage. I now get unbroken coverage from Lafayette to Lake Charles on 700 with crystal clear voice the whole way. On 800 forget it. You will be lucky to get coverage 60% of the time and then its mostly static until you get near Welsh.

I wonder if EBR is still using their 800, since they have switched. I still have them on my scanner.

I'm hearing them on both.

The so called Baywood 700mhz tower is really in Pride about 1.5 miles from my house, If it wasn't for some trees I could see it.

Can you submit the control channel for that tower to the database? There are several towers in the database with just a site number listed because the people who submitted them did not know the location. It may be one of those already in there but with just a site number and no specified location.
