Trooper Sickened by Handshake Poke

About 9:58 AM this morning, someone shook a state trooper's hand in Windsor, CO and poked the officer with something. The trooper is now sick. A bolo has been issued for the vehicle. Medical was called to aid the officer.

I imagine this could have been placed under Colorado Incidents and Breaking News however it's a little early to tell why the officer became suddenly ill after the handshake. This could make national news.

It sounds as if the officer was tranported to an area hospital. Loveland police located the vehicle and placed the suspect into custody.

The officer was sickened rather quickly within about 10-15 minutes from what I understand so it must have been some type of drug or chemical.

After all was said and done, it appears they were unable to determine why the officer became sick.

Great news, glad they are ok! The wife and watch LIVE-PD all the time and many of the people you see on there make us sick just looking at them on TV. I can't imagine actually having to touch them even with gloves!
