i watch that sight often alot and looks for my area we are going to get hevy dx around here, but i was hoping that we would get some of the low band 33 mhz fire skip i used to get back when i was younger, now there stearing away from that now.

does anyone that reads these still know if they use the 33 mhz band to dispatch fd in like pa and new england area?

Rarely does what that site show match what I'm experiencing, like now. Late night and early morning lately I've been getting good ducting. Ranging to the NE with the new Aberdeen 380mhz TRS and the MTA TRS (for the first time last night); Alexandria, VA TRS pegging the meter compared to not usually even getting a hint of a signal, and to the SE the Patuxent NAS 380mhz site as well as what I believe to be a JNCR system site located at Wallops Island, plus everything in between.

My best indicator of ducing conditions is what 380mhz system control channels I can receive. I know what the normal signal strength is, if any, and any change is very noticeable.
