The last day, I have been able to receive signals from Clarksburgh WV, powerful enough to overide a signal from a class A television station - WTAJ in Altoona some 48 miles away.
The Television station in West Virginia is 120 miles away.
I live near Punxsutawney PA and am using a Winegard 8200U antenna and a Channel Master CM 7777 pre amp and a Channel Master CM 7000 converter box and a antenna rotor.
Stations of mention are - WDTV - channel 5 - 100% signal - 9 AM yesterday.
WVFX - 90% signal all day
WTRF - 90% signal all day
WBOY - 90% signal all day
I saw on the weather map last night that there was a boundry line that was from West Virginia that was reaching up into my part of Pennsylvania and I figure that the weather was bending the radio waves and ducting them into my location.
