To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello all,
Struggling here with a Hytera PD505 (firmware A7.06.400.iM) - I can't find a single CPS that this will work with. I have tried most versions I can find online that claim that they 'should' work and most recently v7.06.02.010.EM5).

Every program I attempt to use returns the error "Model Settings Do Not Match."

Is this an issue with me/handset/cable or am I attemping to use the wrong CPS?

Any suggestions very welcome.

Thanks,
Spuff.

Are you trying to READ a codeplug or WRITE a saved one to it?
The PD5 series takes the same CPS as the 6's and 7's

Here is the latest version for the 5 series CPS and firmware. CPS might not help you since this is for the NA versions but FW should work still

Iv had issues few weeks ago while updating a fleet of 120 radios and all programmed with different cps and fw at different points and did run into some issues. had to use the old gold software to load teh saved codeplug into and write back to the radio, some would work with the new H series with no issues. Some i had to read the radio, make my changes and write it back for it to work. Did get this same error on the radios i was trying to write to and had to do the read, make changes, write back and worked

FW V7.07.01.011.iM

CPS_V9.02.12.000.iM(NA2)

Hi mate, thanks for the links :)

I'm just trying to read from the radio, unfortunately the firmware update you attached wouldn't work (The model number PD505-00000000-N00000-U1-0-C is beyond the upgrade software? (!) and as suspected I just an area mismatch with the CPS.
Thanks so much for the assistance though, but as of yet, this one remains elusive!

Ah boo. Figured the firmware would at least work

Sadly we dont have access to any of the other CPS versions. Can try asking over on austech.info in the Communication-Devices section and might get lucky there. Alot of users not in NA on there
