Trouble uploading to radio with PSREdit300

Was just updating my PRO163 & 97 using PSREdit300/400, had no problem sending the info to the 163 but when I did the same w/ the 97 the radio screen says incorrect model! & when I unplug the cable it says initializing..standby & the radio is totally empty. I've never had this or any problem w/ this software or the cable, whats up!?!

Did you select the upload to Pro-97/2055 option? The protocol between the 97/2055 and the PRO-163 is slightly different. I don't have a PRO-97 to test with so I can't test it.
