Does anyone listen or have received this new system on their radio?

Wow good to know, I really thought there was something wrong with my radio!

I have the P25 programmed and thought it was patched with analog like the Police is but apparently not.

There was some traffic on that talk group a few months ago but I haven’t heard anything simulcast from the analog to the city’s digital system in a while.

Is there a way to combine the P25 and the EDAC into one system being their both p25's?

They are two completely different radio systems. One is digital P25 phase 1 and the other is an analog EDACS system.

Are you talking about the same Favorites list? Or the same system name? All my Troy, Rensselaer frequences are in the same favorites list but different system names (Rensselaer P25 vs Rensselaer Conventional).

I have two P25's (Talkgroups) for the same Troy PD. The only conventional I have in the one system is the Fire.

An Analog can have talkgroups as well?
A conventional analog system, such as Troy Fire’s UHF, can’t have talkgroups.
However, an analog trunked system, such as Troy’s older EDACS system does have talk groups.
It‘s not whether it’s analog or digital that determines having talk groups, rather the technology type of the underlying system.

While many EDACS systems feature analog voice, the foundation of the system is digital, most notably the control channel (same applies to Motorola 3600 systems). Heck, it's even right there in the name: Enhanced Digital Access Communications System ;)

How about a GE MARC V system? Is that analog enough for you :p
