Truckee CHP GRAY-2 Repeated on 155.7525 MHz or 155.7600MHz using Tone 156.7.
Before i go any further i am aware that Nevada Co S.O. uses 155.7600/156.7 as their East Side Channel,
but the signal i was picking up was full quieting here in Nevada east of Lake Tahoe and NCSO's repeater is weak and i never hear any traffic on it (I think they use TPD's Channel though not 100% on that).
This simulcast or repeated CHP traffic was not on very long (Listening to CHP Brockway).
Im wondering if it was X-Banding on the V-CALL 155.5725 MHz channel (Which also according to NIFOG uses 156.7).
Using the 7.5 KHz step on my uniden, i could not determine which freq it was transmitting on due to the extremely strong signal.
I have nothing else to report on it since it was brief.
Any ideas?
I have searched the FCC Database for both freqs and the State of Calif has several license's on 155.7525 MHz, nothing on 155.7600 MHz.
Nearest Nevada County repeater on 155.7600 MHz is on Alder Peak in Truckee about 60 miles N/W over the mountain ranges and i know it didnt come from there.
Im continuing seaching VHF Highband to see if anything else appears today thats different.
