Morning,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section.
Here in the UK, Trumps visit to the courthouse was being streamed live on our news channels.
Whilst he was about to get on his plane to fly to Washington ? He came over to speak to the media and in the background on at least 2 of the black SUV's was a small mag mount antenna on the rear of the roof, 2 small vertical whips , one was about 10cm the other 20cm, any ideas ?
Sorry I dont have a picture, however clearly seen on news footage at the airport runway just as he was to climb the air stairs.
Thanks in advance,
Kev (fires999 - USAF in Europe Fire Dept)

Hi waterbwuk and group,
Sorry for late reply but couldn't access mylaptop.
Yep, exactly right, as the clip shows if you look carefully on the right rear of the black SUV.
Would be interesting to know what exactly that antenna is.
Thanks again as always, especially waterbwuk for attaching video clip, thankyou.
Take care,
Kevin

No, never used one.

StiCo = Expensive
StiCo with the Harris logo on it = 1.5 x Expensive.

They should work fine, and Harris wouldn't sell them with their multiband mobiles if they didn't. Stico is also known to make good stuff.

I just chose to use a different/proven/less expensive antenna.

I did run one of the flexible version ones for about a year before going with the Larsen NMO150/450/758SF (identical to the non SF verison-just "super flexible."). The looks don't really make it work better and IMO, the Larsen is the best ti-band antenna on the market right now.

Just looked up the pricing on them now. Yeah I would never pay that for an antenna. At the time I paid around $70 for mine if I recall.

EM Wave and Larsen have some really nice multiband antennas at very reasonable prices.

And they don't have that stupid 'break away' feature that the Motorola multiband antennas have.

Agreed. The EM wave APX8000 portable replacement has been my go to for those since discovering them. Even with the slightly different connector, it works decently well on the VP8000 as well.
