You have three options
1. don't program the ID and scan using ID SCAN if Uniden scanner or Closed Mode if GRE scanner
2. during stop on that ID, press Lockout with either type scanner
3. navigate to the ID using the method described in the Owners Manual. Uniden will likely be by repeatedly using the Hold button until the ID appears on the display, then press Lockout. GRE will be by pressing PGM>TRUNK, then navigate using the UP button until you reach the ID and press Lockout.
Alternately in th step 3 with either scanner, you can un-program the ID instead of locking it out, but you will need to scan as per step 1. /
Edit: Step 2 above will keep it out in either Open or Closed Mode...best choice.
