TRUNK88 Radio ID's

Hello.

I have a question I am hoping anyone on here can answer for me who use TRUNK88. I am in ZONE 3.

On TRUNK88 I am seeing RADIO ID's showing up saying like: Radio 36928 Affiliation Requested and it is not being affiliated to anything so far since they have been showing up and the ID's that are doing this are: 8203, 102, 36852, 29769, 1161 and 40505. So would these be valid RADIO ID's or bogus RADIO ID's that are showing up on my screen.

And I am just wondering if anyone on here might know or have seen these RADIO ID's or seen them in that area before on TRUNK88 and might know or have an idea as to whom these RADIO ID's would belong to. So if anyone on here knows, I can start labelling them with TEXT, so at least when they keep coming up, I will know who they belong to and won't have to keep wondering everytime I see them when they are not being affiliated to any TALKGROUP. Let me know.

That's all part of using a program like Trunk88.... Listening to your scanner while watching the activity so you can put tags on those radio ID's. There is no reason to believe the radio ID's would be bogus. Keep an eye on them, see which talkgroups they routinely affiliate to and pretty soon you will get an idea of the agency they belong to.

What kind of decoding rate are you getting, the higher the decode rate, the more likely the information is legit. Also Trunk88 is one of the most robust/reliable decoding programs out there so its likely accurate info. Open your trunk88 file in excel and sort by radio ID you should be able to interpolate alot of radio ID's. And as suggested by forts listen, observe and identify...

Ok. Thanks for those replies.

I was asking this because, like I said when I seen all of those RADIO ID's plus some more that have showed up. All they have been saying is: Radio 36811 Affiliation Requested. And they have not been Affiliated to any TALKGROUP since they came up. I am thinink that maybe they are RADIO ID's from another site or area that are trying to affiliate with our site or tower, but doesn't get affiliated to it.

So that is why I was giving the list of RADIO ID's to see if anyone who uses TRUNK88 for FLEETNET, maybe might know or seen RADIO ID's in that area from the list of RADIO ID's (which I will give now again, plus a few new ones that came up) they are: 8203, 102, 36852, 29769, 1161, 961, 40505, 32039, 35028, 29822, 36811 and 40513.

But if I happened to see them get affiliated to a TALKGROUP, then I will obviously know who they belong to then. But like I said, so far they haven't affiliated to any TALKGROUP since they have been showing up. And they have been showing up not lots but quite a few times already with affiliation requests like I said.

So if anyone on here can just maybe tell me who might use RADIO ID's in that area, if anyone on here knows. I would appreciate it and it would help me out.

Then the rest of the stuff I can do on my own.

Open your trunk88 file in excel and sort by radio ID you should be able to interpolate alot of radio ID's..

But all I was wondering is if anyone on here could help me out with the question I asked, then that would be appreciated. Just so I will know or have an idea as to who belongs to those RADIO ID's I keep seeing and that don't get affiliated with any TALKGROUP. Because if they keep coming up and don't get affiliated to any TALKGROUP, then I won't know who they belong to.

Just because you are seeing Radio 36928 Affiliation Requested , does not mean it is not being affillated on another tower

Now I just have on other question I am hoping anyone on here can answer for me.

I am just wondering how do you: Enable the Sort Radios By Talkgroup feature on TRUNK88. Like what LETTER or BUTTONS do I press on TRUNK88 at the COMMAND PROMPT to access this.

I am just wondering this, so maybe this will help me out in identifying those RADIO ID's that were coming up and not getting affiliated to any TALKGROUP.
