I am going to try to make the trunker source code work on the 3 Digit Blackberry devices ie, 850 and use a Level 2 FSK Interface these devices run applications that are in c++. Any one wanting to help please post a message, Also I am planning on compiling Trunker for Linux with support for a FSK Interface. I would like to add some other features like intergrating the output to MySQL to have realtime stats of current radios (AKA who's Working via the Radio ID) This is a pretty big task for just two people but any help we would really appreciate it. Also Look for more scanner control options like support for kenwood ham radios (THG71A)!!
The idea behind the blackberry concept is to have a deticated peice of hardware to do the decoding using the ultimate trunking decoder software (for DOS) T4Win also rocks in the windows world!
Thanks,
Chris

Great idea.

Someone has already ported trunker to run on one of the more popular microcontrollers. I don't recall what he used for key input and display - some sort of LCD I think. The code is available if you're interested.

Do you have a development kit for the Blackberry? If so, does it allow access to raw signal input? Motorola's FLEX and ReFLEX products do not.

Good luck.
