Greetings fellow Scannists,

I am new to using Etrunker 3.83 , I have it up and running very nicely using my BC-780 . I have an addtional trunking scanner that I would like to use for the audio portion. The second trunking scanner has an RS-232 port for a serial cable.

How would I connect the second scanner to be controlled by Etrunker so I can have voice while using etrunker with the BC-780?

( my slicer does have the pass through so I can hook up another 9pin serial to the computer)

Thanks for any help you can give me.

That should be no problem. Is your second scanner supported by E-trunker? If it is just look at the docs for e-trunker and put the correct lines in the trackenv.txt file for the type scanner, comport number and baud rate. If the second scanner is a Uniden just use BC895 as that will controll most all unidens. :)

In addition, if your pass through has a shielded two wire with a mini plug, you will need a tap to plug into if it's not a Uniden manufactured with such, as suggested by Bandit.

Your 780 becomes the *parked* scanner and the tapped scanner is the decoder which is set on the system CC.

Keep in mind though, the 780 will only hear the current highlighted activity on the Trunker window while the Trunker program will be logging all activity simultaneously.
