Update a HUGE difference!

Their was A firmware update just released for the 436 and 536. It adressed p25 issues as well as dmr fixes. If you have not updated give it a try. My 436 sounds so much better now.

I did the update the other night and IMMEDIATELY noticed a difference in reception and clarity! I just got done installing a Yagi directional on the roof and it seems as though my problem has been solved and just some minor tuning of adjustments on the scanner remains now to get the ERR rate down.

Is there a way to get on Uniden's list to be emailed when an update is pushed out?

I looked at the Unication G4 after reading your post. Those units seem pretty versatile. Are they truly a scanner and a pager all in one?

They can be used to scan a system, but they’re not as versatile as a true scanner. Probably best to start a new thread in the Unication forum for more info on them. I’m ordering mine on Saturday.

You can click a button in Sentinel to check for firmware updates.
