Trunking Morris County

I have tried to get MIRS and told that my PRO-95 DUAL TRUNKING doesn't pick it up but are there any that i can pick up

Morris County is a P25 system. Check the database here for any analog TG's. Try this site and select just the "A" listing and ignore the "
d's).

thank you. do u know what frequency to enter so that i can listen to the Sheriffs Ch 1 which is the only A that i saw that sounds good. I don't understand and then the Radioshack guy on the phone was clueless

Radio shack people are not trained to help you. They exist solely to sell you cell phones and extended warranties. Most have no clue as to the electronics they display - let alone help you understand your new purchase. Talk groups are not limited to a single frequency. Select the site that is closest to you, define the bank as MOT, enter each of the control channels, and then hit trunk and enter the talk groups desired. Communications are shared among the frequencies listed, permitting greater flexibility for multiple users and simultaneous transmissions. PS You won't hear a whole lot on that TG. If you live in Morris County, you may wish to monitor some of the municipal action that is analog in nature. Check out the Morris County Database here.

All Law Enforcement TG's are Digital. The Analog TG's are Not that interesting. The TG 48, I never heard a
thing on, all the times that I did listen.

Morris County is a P25 system.

Morris County is a Motorola Type II Smartzone System which uses mixed mode analog and digital (APCO-25 CAI as the vocoder). It has a 3600 baud control channel. If it was a P25 system, all talkgroups would be digital and it would have a 9600 baud control channel.

You can monitor talkgroups on the system that are analog. You cannot monitor digital talkgroups unless you have a digital scanner, which you do not.
