All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I've finally figured out why I was having the problem with Trunking. My Pro 95 only scans analog and I had the bank on open. My question now is can I program more than one site in the same bank.

Are you trying to set up trunking or conventional system? I have been told that you can program two trunking systems in the same bank although I have not tried it yet myself.

Trunking freqs need to be set to the proper mode for the unit to track the system.

I've programmed 2 trunking systems into a single bank, but it is tricky. My first question is "why would you want to do that?". It is BEST to just use 2 banks, unless they are very small trunking systems (5 to 10 channels each).

Talkgroup IDs in the PRO-95 are associated with the bank. So if the two trunked systems you want to hear use identical IDs that you want to hear (or worse, one you want you want to hear and one you want to lock out), you can better manage them in separate banks.

The PRO-95 only wants to lock in on one control channel per bank. I've got a dual site system here that gives me troubles because there are usually two active control channels for the same system. But if you want to program two trunked systems you'll need to do the following:
1. Program the control channels for the first system in sequential order.
2. Program some ACTIVE CONVENTIONAL channels after the first trunked channels.
3. Program the control channels for the 2nd system after the conventional channels.
4. Do NOT lock out the conventional channels. The scanner must see this separation before it will find a control channel in each 1 & 3 above.
5. Program in all the Talkgroup IDs you want (assuming you're running in closed mode). Keep in mind that if EITHER system receives a TG ID that is programmed and not locked out, you'll hear it. If there is no overlap, then you'll be good.

Good luck.
